Clean hydrogen has emerged as a crucial means for achieving carbon neutrality, leading countries worldwide to devote efforts to research and policy development. However, there are numerous challenges to address, including technical issues related to production, transportation, storage, and utilization, as well as ensuring economic viability and policy support. Bringing together domestic and international policy experts to discuss policy directions for fostering clean hydrogen and establishing a network to enhance international cooperation will be the focus.

Jeju has succeeded in establishing an initial green hydrogen ecosystem and plans to expand green hydrogen production continuously, including large-scale green hydrogen production facility construction projects and plans for bio-hydrogen production. Therefore, there is a need for storage and transportation strategies for utilizing green hydrogen. Sharing various hydrogen storage and transportation technologies and developing strategic approaches for creating a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem tailored to Jeju will be prioritized.
